IndigoVision selected for the Loughborough University CCTV upgrade

IndigoVision once again came top of the class by being been selected for another CCTV security upgrade, this time at Loughborough University. The contract was awarded through the ESPO tender portal and completed by OpenView Security Solutions (OSS), a valued IndigoVision Authorised Partner, who is also one of the UK's leading independent providers of security and IT infrastructure solutions.

Established in 1909, Loughborough University needed to upgrade its existing CCTV security network to ensure the level of protection for the 17,975 students and 3,787 members of staff that study, work, live in or visit the campus was sufficient.

The security upgrade included the use of several innovative IndigoVision products including:

• Control Center - Using IndigoVision's security management software the staff at Loughborough University are able to easily manage video, access control and alarms across the campus. The software is connected to the exiting IT infrastructure using the latest high speed IP technology.
• Enterprise NVR-AS 4000 - Installed within a server farm on the university's IT network IndigoVision's Enterprise NVR-AS 4000 can store days' worth of footage. An additional failover unit added for resilience ensures the University are up and running 24/7.
• Frontline 2 - IndigoVision body worn video solution enables security staff to be mobile on campus, capturing events as and when they happen. Fully integrated with Control Center, FrontLine 2 footage can easily be reviewed and analysed at any point.
